Finding a wedding caterer in Las Vegas might be a little tougher than you imagined. Although Las Vegas is the wedding capital of the world, many people get married impulsively and if they have a reception at all, might only take a room in the back of a Las Vegas restaurant.
So true wedding planning – while not unheard of – isn’t perhaps as common in Las Vegas as other areas, but that doesn’t mean good wedding caterers can’t be found.
If you get married at a Las Vegas hotel, and want a full reception, your choice will likely be limited to what the hotel will offer from their restaurant facilities. But if you get married in a chapel and want to also have a full reception, you’ll need to hire a caterer. Here are some things to consider when choosing a Las Vegas caterer.
- How far will they travel? Don’t choose a caterer located outside the city of Las Vegas if they either won’t travel your Vegas reception location. Similarly, if your wedding caterer charges extra to show up at your location, be sure to find out how much before you sign on the dotted line.
- Ask your Las Vegas wedding caterer if they provide a cake, or will cut the cake. Will the caterer charge extra for cutting the cake? If you’re providing your own booze, will the Vegas caterer charge a corkage fee or is that included in their price?
